Resolution

Whereas Archer Bailey Gay Lodge #275 has had problems with attendance at it’s stated communications, and;

Whereas Archer Bailey Gay Lodge #275 has problems encouraging brethren to join the progressive line, and;

Whereas Archer Bailey Gay Lodge #275 has a fund, under the control of the Trustees.

Now therefore be it resolved that Archer Bailey Gay Lodge #275 merge with Springfield Lodge #217 effective January 1, 2003, and;

Be it further resolved, that if this resolution is approved by both Archer Bailey Gay Lodge #275 and Springfield Lodge #217, with the concurrence of the Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons in the Commonwealth of Virginia, that Springfield Lodge #217 establish a scholarship fund, to be called “The Archer Bailey Gay Scholarship Fund,” with the monies that are now in the possession of Archer Bailey Gay Lodge #275, and;

Be it further resolved that no name change or number change be associated with this merger.
